Hugo
I swam, biked, and ran a lot from January to March and found myself sitting at a good fighting weight: all of my shorts fit! In March, “Life became sureal.” From April to November, I worked 100% from home. Work was stressful but at times was a good distraction from all the divisions in the world. I focused on good friends, my family, keeping everyone safe, wearing a mask everywhere, and acted as a reasonable adult believing in science and facts. For December, I am grateful for the hard work of those making a breakthrough vaccine in record time and also trying to perfect my TikTok dancing.
Judy
From January to March, Hugo and I had some fun race-cations to Jacksonville and New Smyrna Beach, FL; Savannah, GA; and Judy got to go to Arizona for a race-cation with girl-friends. After spring break, I spent the 4th nine weeks teaching from home, which was really nice, as I got to spend a lot of time with Hugo, Paul and Carl. (We were all in our own rooms working, but we saw each other for meals ☺) School wise, I had to be on call from 8 AM to 8 PM. This school year, I am at school again with face-to-face students for all but one class, which I teach on zoom. I am anxiously awaiting till we can travel again!

Paul
Paul is 20 years old, and in his third year at the University of North Florida (UNF) in Jacksonville, majoring in Business Marketing with a minor in Recreation & Tourism. Paul had one class face to face this fall, but the rest of his classes were on zoom. He fills his time with rock wall climbing, skateboarding, and eating at the cafeteria with his roommate. He is looking to do an internship this summer, so anyone with any contacts in marketing, please let us know!
Carl
Carl is 18 years old, and he graduated from the International Baccalaureate program in high school in May. They cancelled the prom, grad bash, senior breakfast, etc., but we did get to attend a wonderful graduation ceremony where we got to sit in family pods with our graduate, AND we got to go right up to the stage to take pictures while Carl walked across the stage: fun!
Carl is now at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. All of his classes for the first semester were on zoom, so he spent his free time rollerblading, going to the gym with his roommates and playing guitar.

We wish you HEALTH and HAPPINESS in the new year!
